Sleevd operates an online marketplace for trading card games (TCG) and related collectible products. The platform enables buyers and independent sellers to buy and sell products and may provide additional services including payment facilitation, order management, shipping coordination and fulfillment.

This Privacy & Cookie Policy applies to personal information processed and cookies or similar technologies used in connection with:

• Sleevd customer accounts;
• seller and vendor accounts;
• seller applications;
• purchases and marketplace transactions;
• payments and seller payouts;
• shipping and delivery;
• Sleevd fulfillment services;
• customer support and disputes;
• website and platform usage;
• marketing communications; and
• other interactions with Sleevd.

Depending on how a user interacts with Sleevd, we may collect information such as:

• name;
• email address;
• telephone number;
• billing and delivery information;
• account information;
• seller or business information;
• transaction and order history;
• payment-related information;
• seller payout information;
• shipping and tracking information;
• communications with Sleevd;
• dispute and claim information;
• device and browser information;
• IP address;
• website usage information; and
• other information voluntarily provided to us.

Additional information may be collected from sellers where reasonably necessary for identity verification, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, payment processing or seller onboarding.

For seller verification, Sleevd may collect and process a copy of the seller's Emirates ID and related identity information. Where a seller applies or operates as a company or other business entity, Sleevd may also collect a copy of the applicable trade licence and information contained in that document. This information is used for seller onboarding, identity and business verification, fraud prevention, marketplace security, and compliance with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.

Sleevd may also receive personal information from third parties where necessary to operate the marketplace and provide its services. These sources may include payment processors such as Stripe, shipping and logistics providers, analytics providers such as Google Analytics, service providers supporting the operation and security of the platform, and other parties involved in transactions or services requested by users. Information received from third parties may include payment and transaction status, shipping and delivery information, fraud or security-related information, technical and analytics data, and other information reasonably necessary to administer the relevant service or transaction.

Sleevd may process personal information to:

• create and manage user accounts;
• review and manage seller applications;
• facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers;
• process payments and seller payouts;
• coordinate shipping and delivery;
• provide fulfillment services;
• communicate order and transaction updates;
• provide customer support;
• investigate disputes, claims, fraud or suspicious activity;
• maintain the security and integrity of the marketplace;
• improve the Sleevd platform and services;
• invite buyers to review Sleevd on an independent review platform after a purchase;
• send marketing communications where permitted;
• comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and
• establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Sleevd processes personal information only where there is an appropriate basis under applicable law. Depending on the circumstances, processing may be carried out:

• with the user's consent, where consent is required or relied upon;
• where processing is necessary to perform a contract with the user or to take steps requested by the user in connection with entering into, modifying or ending a contract;
• where processing is necessary to comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations;
• where processing is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims or in connection with judicial or security procedures;
• where processing is necessary to protect the interests of the data subject or for another purpose expressly permitted under applicable law; or
• on another lawful ground available under applicable UAE data protection legislation.

Where Sleevd relies on consent, the user may withdraw that consent subject to applicable law. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before the withdrawal and does not prevent Sleevd from continuing processing where another lawful ground applies.

Payments made through Sleevd are currently processed using Stripe, a third-party payment service provider. Stripe may collect and process payment information and other information necessary to process transactions, prevent fraud, comply with financial or regulatory requirements, and provide its payment services.

Sleevd does not store complete payment card details where those details are processed directly by Stripe. Stripe processes information in accordance with its own privacy practices and applicable legal requirements.

Sleevd may receive transaction-related information from Stripe, such as payment status, transaction identifiers, payment amounts, refunds, and other information necessary to administer marketplace transactions and maintain financial records.

Where an order requires delivery, relevant personal information may be shared with shipping and logistics providers for purposes including:

• shipment creation;
• pickup;
• delivery;
• tracking;
• delivery notifications;
• failed-delivery handling;
• returns; and
• investigation of lost or damaged shipments.

Only information reasonably necessary to perform the applicable delivery service should be provided to these partners.

Sleevd processes information relating to buyers and sellers as necessary to facilitate marketplace transactions. However, buyers and sellers are not provided access to each other's private account information through the marketplace. In particular, Sleevd does not make a user's real name, private contact details, billing information, delivery address, Emirates ID, trade licence, or payment information visible to another marketplace user merely because they are involved in the same transaction.

Sleevd provides an internal marketplace chat function through which buyers and sellers may communicate. Users interacting through this function can see the other user's marketplace username, but not the other user's real name, address, or other private account information unless the user independently chooses to disclose information within the conversation.

Sleevd may access, process, and retain marketplace chat communications where reasonably necessary to operate the messaging service, provide customer support, investigate disputes, enforce marketplace rules, prevent fraud or abuse, protect users, or comply with applicable law.

Sleevd does not authorize users to use information obtained through the marketplace for unrelated marketing, solicitation, data collection, or other purposes outside the relevant transaction.

Leaderboard and referral programme

Where a user participates in a Sleevd leaderboard or referral activity, Sleevd may calculate and display the user's marketplace username, avatar, leaderboard position and points. Sleevd does not display the user's legal name, contact details, transaction values, payment information or delivery address on the public leaderboard.

Sleevd may process qualifying purchase, sale, review and invitation activity; referral-link and attribution records; reward and voucher records; and relevant account, payment, device, telephone, address and transaction indicators to calculate points, confirm eligibility, prevent duplicate rewards, investigate manipulation and resolve programme disputes. These checks may involve human review. Detailed programme records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for administration, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and legal compliance.

Where sellers use Sleevd's fulfillment services, Sleevd may process information relating to:

• sellers;
• inventory;
• inbound shipments;
• product ownership;
• sales;
• withdrawals and returns;
• fulfillment activity; and
• associated transactions.

This information may be retained as reasonably necessary for inventory management, accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention and compliance purposes.

Sleevd may share personal information with third parties that provide services necessary to operate the platform, including:

• payment processors;
• banks and payout providers;
• shipping and logistics companies;
• hosting and cloud service providers;
• email and communications providers;
• customer-support providers;
• analytics providers;
• security and fraud-prevention providers;
• review platforms that send review invitations on Sleevd's behalf;
• professional advisers; and
• government or regulatory authorities where required by law.

Sleevd does not sell personal information.

Current third-party services include Stripe for payment processing, Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics for website and platform analytics, and Supabase as part of Sleevd's cloud infrastructure and data storage services. Supabase may process or store information on Sleevd's behalf in connection with the operation of the platform. After a purchase, Sleevd shares the buyer's name, email address and order number with Trustpilot, which uses them to invite the buyer to review Sleevd. A review the buyer chooses to write is published by Trustpilot under its own terms and privacy policy. Access to personal information is restricted using appropriate technical and organizational controls. Sleevd may change or add service providers as its services develop, subject to applicable data protection requirements.

Sleevd uses or may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website and marketplace, maintain account sessions, protect the platform, remember user preferences, understand platform usage, improve functionality, measure performance and support marketing activities where applicable.

Cookies and similar technologies used through Sleevd may fall into the following categories:

• Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for core website and marketplace functions, such as account login, authentication, session management, security, checkout, fraud prevention, and other functionality necessary to provide the services requested by the user. Because these technologies are necessary for the operation and security of the platform, they may not be subject to optional cookie consent where permitted by applicable law.
• Analytics cookies. Sleevd currently uses Google Analytics to help understand how visitors and users interact with the website and platform, measure usage and performance, identify usability issues, and improve the user experience.
• Functional and preference cookies. Sleevd may use these technologies to remember settings or preferences and provide enhanced or personalized functionality.
• Marketing and advertising cookies. Sleevd may introduce marketing or advertising technologies in the future. Where such technologies require consent under applicable law, they will not be activated until the required consent has been obtained.

Google Analytics may collect information such as device and browser information, IP-related information, pages or features viewed, interactions with the platform, referral information, and other usage data through cookies or similar technologies. This information is used to measure usage and performance and to improve Sleevd's services.

Where consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies is required by applicable law, Sleevd will provide an appropriate mechanism for users to accept, reject or otherwise manage those technologies. Users may also be able to change their cookie preferences through a cookie-management interface made available on the platform. Browser settings may additionally allow users to block or delete certain cookies, although disabling strictly necessary cookies or technologies may affect the operation of parts of the Sleevd platform.

Sleevd may update the cookies and similar technologies it uses as the platform develops. Material changes to how these technologies are used will be reflected in this Privacy & Cookie Policy and, where required, in the applicable consent or cookie-management interface.

Sleevd will maintain a current cookie notice or preference interface identifying non-essential cookie providers, purposes and durations. Google Analytics advertising features will not be enabled unless disclosed and any legally required consent has been obtained.

Where permitted by applicable law, Sleevd may send users information about marketplace updates, products, promotions, services or other relevant offers.

Users may unsubscribe from optional marketing communications using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the relevant communication or through other methods made available by Sleevd.

Transactional and service communications, such as order confirmations, shipping updates, security notices, seller notifications and account-related messages, may still be sent where necessary to provide the service.

Sleevd may process account, transaction, payment, device, communication, shipping and other relevant information where reasonably necessary to detect, investigate, prevent or respond to:

• fraudulent transactions;
• counterfeit activity;
• unauthorized account access;
• payment abuse;
• marketplace manipulation;
• violations of Sleevd's policies; and
• other unlawful or suspicious activity.

Sleevd retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to satisfy applicable legal, accounting, regulatory, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution and record-keeping requirements.

Seller identity and verification records, including Emirates ID or trade-licence information, are retained only for the period required by applicable legal, tax, accounting, payment, anti-fraud, dispute and limitation requirements. Retention is periodically reviewed, and records are deleted or securely disposed of when no lawful or operational need remains. Transaction, payout, chat, dispute, fulfillment and opening-video records may be retained for corresponding documented periods based on those requirements.

Closing or deleting an account does not necessarily require Sleevd to immediately erase all information associated with that account where continued retention is legally permitted or required.

Some service providers used by Sleevd may process or store information outside the United Arab Emirates.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, Sleevd will take appropriate measures where required under applicable data protection law.

Sleevd will document the destination or recipient category and the legal safeguard relied upon for material cross-border processing arrangements and make further information available on request where required by law.

Sleevd takes reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

However, no online service, transmission method or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Subject to applicable law and any applicable exceptions, users may have rights relating to their personal information, including rights to:

• obtain information about the types of personal data Sleevd processes, the purposes of processing, relevant automated processing where applicable, recipients or categories of recipients, applicable retention periods or criteria, and safeguards relating to cross-border transfers where applicable;
• request access to personal data concerning them, subject to applicable law;
• request transfer of personal data where the applicable legal requirements for data portability are met;
• request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete personal data without undue delay;
• request deletion of personal information in circumstances provided by applicable law, including where the information is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or processed;
• request restriction or cessation of processing in circumstances provided by applicable law;
• object to processing for direct marketing purposes, including profiling related to direct marketing, and exercise other applicable rights to object to processing;
• object to certain decisions based on automated processing that have legal consequences or otherwise significantly affect the user, where applicable;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to applicable law; and
• exercise other rights provided under applicable data protection law.

These rights are not absolute and may be subject to exceptions or limitations under applicable law, including where information must be retained to comply with legal obligations, protect the rights of others, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Requests may be subject to reasonable identity verification before they are processed.

Users may request deletion of their Sleevd account through the functionality provided by Sleevd or by contacting Sleevd.

Account deletion may not result in immediate deletion of all associated records. Sleevd may retain information where reasonably necessary or legally required for purposes including transaction records, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements and compliance with applicable law.

Sleevd is not intended for individuals who are not legally capable of entering into transactions through the platform without the authorization required under applicable law.

Sleevd does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in circumstances where such processing would be prohibited by applicable law.

Sleevd may update this Privacy & Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to its services, business practices, technology, cookies and similar technologies, or legal requirements.

The updated version will be published through the Sleevd platform with a revised last-updated date. Where required or appropriate, users may also be notified of material changes.

Privacy requests may be submitted to support@sleevd.ae. Sleevd may verify the requester's identity. A user may also submit a complaint to the competent UAE data-protection authority where applicable.

Sleevd maintains procedures to assess and respond to personal-data incidents and will notify affected individuals and the competent authority where required by applicable law.

Sleevd may use automated indicators to support fraud, security and marketplace-risk reviews. Where a decision based solely on automated processing produces legal or similarly significant effects, Sleevd will provide the information and rights required by applicable law, including human review where applicable.
